I don’t understand.

I drove a first gen Equinox for “behind the wheel” classes back in High School...It wasn’t bad as much as it was so soul crushing to drive. I can’t imagine the newer ones being much better.

I had a 3.5L Impala as a rental once while my car was being repaired (for a few weeks.) It was bright red.
I called it Clifford, the big red dog.
I may be close to understanding.

Dem 2016 tail lights

To be fair, most cars in their lowest trim are horrendous.

2016 taillights=good.
2016 nose=blech.

I basically said that same thing about the latest Cruze.
Just slap some LED running lights on ‘er!

My mom has had a 2010 since brand new. Just hit 100K. Only oil changes and the tires were just replaced at 80K (from factory). It’s a realiable, comfortable, quiet, reasonable place to spend time. It’s not sporty by any stretch but it does those above things well. All while doing a good mpg run.

Whenever you see a car you love crash and burn in the market, just remember that this gets to be the 4th best selling crossover in the US.

I had a rental Equinox and I did not enjoy myself. Didn’t help that someone smoked in it for a decade (trade-in).

Latest as in refresh, or latest as in 2017? Agreed on refreshed Cruze. I like the 2017.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 16:06 |

Oh sorry, the refresh. I honestly forgot about the new new Cruze.

Yeah, my mother has a 2010 and I have no clue why.

My mother has a 2010, and it is honestly the worst.
![]() 02/02/2016 at 16:07 |

My mother has a 2010 and the whole thing is broken, hence the loaner car.

Are hideous, yes.

Does it does Jack though?

No, thankfully.

That sucks. Hope it gets better soon. How many miles are on it? 4cyl or 6?

What am I looking at? All I see is a silver turd.

I was going to do my own post about this yesterday. Had to pick this up from an employee that quit. 250 worst miles I have ever driven. Body roll, cheap plastic, wobbly trim and no power.

It makes me sad

luckily for us they never sold here.
but on downside we have these
diesel engine variant is worst of all.
![]() 02/03/2016 at 06:23 |

Oh yeah, I’ve heard they’re horrible. But don’t you have the Ford Everest and the Isuzu MU-
![]() 02/03/2016 at 06:28 |

yes , but i work at a GM-Holden dealer , so i don’t know much about them yet.
i have seen so many of the Craptivas come into the workshop with issues , especially oil leaks.
![]() 02/03/2016 at 06:48 |

Did those have the 3.0 V6?
![]() 02/03/2016 at 06:51 |
|
yes , V6 have timing chains that stretch.
z22d diesel have massive oil leaks , to fix engine out and 2 day job to do.
4 cyl petrol motors just put rods through the block!
![]() 02/03/2016 at 08:41 |
|
To that point, the 3.0 liter v6 was scrapped for a reason. I don’t think it was just a power/economy issue. I think they knew it was a crap engine. Hope the issues get resolved soon!
![]() 02/03/2016 at 08:53 |

Thanks, we’re getting the camshaft and timing chain replaced. Thankfully, GM is paying 60% of the $2,000 job.
![]() 02/03/2016 at 09:36 |

I thought they had a recall (at one time) on the timing chain? I know my moms did (4 cyl though so that makes a difference). Glad they are paying for most of it though.
![]() 02/03/2016 at 10:13 |

A bulletin, not a recall. But it’s still pretty annoying.

My uncle has leased two back to back, he likes them, but i agree, you are not oppo if you have one, there are so many alternatives

Okay, if your family has a base Journey, this must cause suicidal thoughts.
![]() 02/04/2016 at 22:45 |
|
Well the Journey was free, but we hate it anyway, and this base Equinox is a loaner until we get our 2010 Equinox LTZ fixed. Because, ya know, the whole thing is broken.

The Equinox is, hands down, the worst vehicle in the CUV class. I bet even the Nissan Rogue Select beats it out.
